From late summer 2001, the programmes will be available for delivery by digital interactive, broadband Internet and/or traditional linear techniques, for open or closed circuit broadcast.
The infrastructure
Based at the same Gloucestershire site as main UK headquarters of parent company, Peakviewing Transatlantic, Viewing4Leisure boasts one of the largest Avid suites in the UK. This is the site where all postproduction and editing is done for the programmes produced by the 32 presenter and crew teams currently travelling to and producing programmes at locations worldwide. Subjects range from hotels to extreme sports, shopping centres to golf courses more than 2700 programmes already completed.
As one of the UK's leading independent film makers, Peakviewing successfully produces, markets and distributes programming for theatrical release, video and television globally.
The future now
For broadcasters and webcasters worldwide looking for interactive content, the company's Interactive division should be of particular interest as, having committed major resource to the division, the company is fast developing as a leader in this new exciting field.
With divisions on three continents, Peakviewing is a vastly experienced and well-recognised market leader in its field, well prepared for the rapidly advancing global convergence of entertainment media technologies.
Using its vast technical and creative resource, the Viewing4Leisure research has been done and a vast database of interactive programming created. With broadcast technology advancing so rapidly, Peakviewing is now actively seeking potential system partners, such as global media networks and / or telecommunication specialists.
The technology
Viewing4Leisure offers high quality video on a wide range of travel and leisure activities. These will be made available to the public via various channels including the World Wide Web, Broadcasting (including but not limited to Terrestrial & Digital), Cable, Web TV, Video-On-Demand, Multimedia (CD-ROM and DVD), wireless networks, 3G mobile communications and digital radio.
