CreationStation.tv� is a collection of entertaining and informative Children's programmes, created as a virtual world that the child can explore through television. It consists of 780 exciting, original puppet programmes of 11 minutes duration, based around more than a dozen sets of characters that inhabit different corners of this world.
The programmes are introduced and linked by the puppet characters who also explain the additional material available at the press of a button on a normal domestic remote control. In this way, the child can, for example, elect to play a selection of games or he can make something; each stage of the process being selected in his own time and carefully illustrated and explained by voice and text. The child can also choose to read the story of one of the programmes, with three reading levels provided both as text only or text with voice. Furthermore, in some linear programmes, he can actively participate by choosing his own answers to questions.
The emphasis is very much on creating an environment which the child enjoys and one which he will willingly explore to participate further and actively learn through play and discovery.
