Elizabeth graduated from Bristol University in 1977 with a
First Class Honours Degree in Law. She became a partner at Simon Olswang &
Co in 1982 specialising in tax-related film financing and co productions,
including levy-assisted television structures. She represented the bank in both
the first and the largest of the film leases that characterised film financing
in the late 1980s.
Elizabeth left Olswang's in 1987 to join Consolidated Productions as Head of
Business and Legal Affairs. In the following year she was promoted to President
and during her tenure was responsible for over seeing both production and
distribution. Consolidated turnover rose from just under $2,500,000 per year to
a turnover in excess of $25,000,000 with a production/distribution slate in
excess of fifty hours per year. Most of the slate consisted of co productions
between European and American broadcasters.
In 1991 Elizabeth co founded Peakviewing with her brother Paul. Their
short-term aim was to establish a reputation as the producer of quality
programming to the international television market. The long-term aim, now well
on its way to realisation, is the establishment of a powerful production and
distribution base addressing the television and theatrical markets.
Elizabeth Matthews has now been producing and distributing for twenty years.

Paul Matthews began writing in 1990 with an outline for a
series to be based upon the western books by JT Edson, since realised as the
four hour miniseries: GUNS OF HONOR, starring JURGEN PROCHNOW, MARTIN SHEEN and
CORBIN BERNSEN, and gave up his other employment when he created Peakviewing
Productions in 1991.
Since creating Peakviewing, Paul has written much of the Company's material to
date, including Peakviewing's first film - "The Christmas Stallion" starring
DANIEL J TRAVANTI - and the GUNS OF HONOR miniseries.
Peakviewing's family movie "A Christmas Reunion", starring JAMES COBURN and
EDWARD WOODWARD (co-written by Paul and also shot in English as well as in
Welsh) was nominated by BAFTA for awards as Best Welsh Drama and Best Actress.
In 1995, Paul made his directorial debut. He has since directed six films, all
of which he also wrote and will shortly begin shooting BERSERKER.
Paul oversees all of the company's development and production slate.

Janet
joined the company back in 1992 as Personal Assistant to Paul
Matthews and worked closely with him developing, managing and
coordinating the production slate.
Spending a
considerable amount of time working from Peakviewing's
overseas offices, during 1997 and 1998, Janet worked as
Associate Producer on two films, THE LAST LEPRECHAUN and THE
FAIRY KING OF AR.
When Peakviewing Transatlantic, the
company's international sales and distribution division, was
started in 1997, Janet was tasked with managing and developing
that side of the business.
With Janet as Head of Sales,
Peakviewing Transatlantic went from strength to strength. In
her current role as Head of Distribution, Janet is stepping
sideways from sales to concentrate on developing Peakviewing's
